The Office of Primary Care and Rural Health has created 2 new maps to help illustrate how state and federal programs affect healthcare in Utah.
The first shows different ways to define urban and rural. This is often relevant to healthcare, and the definitions can be complex. Many programs aim to help rural Utahns receive care. But which areas are rural depends on which organization’s definition is used.
The second map charts the success stories of our loan repayment programs. These programs help providers pay off their student loans while serving their communities. The map shows how the program touches each of Utah’s congressional districts.
You can find both maps here.
